Business & Leadership 1: Navigating polarities in a world of rapid change, facilitated by Ingrid de Clercq

In this Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous world, we are confronted with problem solving every day. But sometimes there is simply no straightforward right or wrong — in such cases, we should not address the challenge with a problem solving mindset, but with a polarity thinking mindse. In this session you will learn about polarity management: how to understand and respond to issues that don’t have fixed solutions, and how to address conflicting perspectives/interests.

Business & Leadership 2: Cracking the Cultural Code: Managing Cultural Polarities to Foster Creativity, facilitated by Laura & Tim Switalski

Working with diversity can present a variety of challenges. There are multiple variables that need to be attended to, such as communication, collaboration, and leadership. Managing all of these variables requires a clear understanding of cross-cultural best practices that can foster a creative environment. In this session, you will explore the polarities that underlie cultural diversity and their connections with creativity, and learn to leverage them to achieve creative outcomes.

Parenting is a journey that can be both joyful and frustrating. Even when it feels like an uphill struggle, it is possible to tip the balance by leveraging creativity to make small changes that result in success. In this session you will discover these opportunities as you apply creative approaches to parenting. You will begin your transformation into a Creative Leader as you use the Parenting Up model to design your own personal guide to unlocking the potential of your family. All you need to bring with you is your expert knowledge about your family (with all of its wonderful unique idiosyncrasies), your vision and your motivation.

Life & Society: Hidden Genius: how to access the deep wisdom and creativity you didn’t know you had, facilitated by Tim Hurson

Tim will introduce you to mind tools developed by the word’s greatest thinkers: Socrates, Alhazen, Da Vinci, Einstein, McLuhan, and others. With these straightforward tools, you can learn to discern more clearly, think more creatively, and solve problems more effectively than ever before.

Business & Leadership 2: Problem framing - what is the question behind the question?, Facilitated by Tudor Mihai

Every challenge starts with ”why?”. Before you can start thinking about solutions, you have to understand the purpose and the essentials of a project. In this session, you will learn to dive deeper into the motivations of the client and create a mission statement for the project. You will explore the challenge until a complete overview of the problem space is created, so, in the end, you will know the directions to focus on in the solution development stage.

Branding & Marketing: Tribeology — Us versus Them, Facilitated by Mihai Bonca

Humans have the tendency to organize in groups scripted in their DNA —individuals search for similar people they can relate to, driven by a desire to act, experience novelties and explore the world together, while feeling accepted and safe. Understanding the genesis of tribes and their dynamics will help us to better understand Marketing and Employer Branding. In this session, you will learn from the examples of Apple, Nike, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, political marketing, but also from the Pepsi and Gillette fiascos.
