Business & Leadership 1: Navigating polarities in a world of rapid change, facilitated by Ingrid de Clercq

In this Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous world, we are confronted with problem solving every day. But sometimes there is simply no straightforward right or wrong — in such cases, we should not address the challenge with a problem solving mindset, but with a polarity thinking mindse. In this session you will learn about polarity management: how to understand and respond to issues that don’t have fixed solutions, and how to address conflicting perspectives/interests.

Business & Leadership 2: Cracking the Cultural Code: Managing Cultural Polarities to Foster Creativity, facilitated by Laura & Tim Switalski

Working with diversity can present a variety of challenges. There are multiple variables that need to be attended to, such as communication, collaboration, and leadership. Managing all of these variables requires a clear understanding of cross-cultural best practices that can foster a creative environment. In this session, you will explore the polarities that underlie cultural diversity and their connections with creativity, and learn to leverage them to achieve creative outcomes.

Life & Society: Hidden Genius: how to access the deep wisdom and creativity you didn’t know you had, facilitated by Tim Hurson

All of us have a hidden storehouse of knowledge, insight, wisdom, and creativity; unfortunately, we rarely know how to access it. Tim will introduce you to mind tools developed by the word’s greatest thinkers: Socrates, Alhazen, Da Vinci, Einstein, McLuhan, and others. With these straightforward tools, you can learn to discern more clearly, think more creatively, and solve problems more effectively than ever before.
